Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training
Please join the library’s Mental Health Coordinator and Terry Reilly for a suicide prevention gatekeeper training. QPR offers three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. QPR trains individuals to be suicide prevention "gatekeepers" which is someone who is able to recognize the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide and how to support them with seeking help. Gatekeepers can be anyone, and can include parents, friends, and neighbors. As a QPR-Trained Gatekeeper, you will learn to: recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope, and know how to get help and save a life.
