Rediscovered Books and Boise Public Library are pleased to welcome bestselling author Jonathan Stroud for a visit and chat about the newest book in his The Legendary Scarlett & Browne series: The Legendary Scarlett and Browne.

There will be a signing after the talk and Rediscovered Books will be on-hand selling books. 

Jonathan Stroud is the best-selling author of the Bartimaeus Trilogy, which has received note for its satire and use of magic to explore themes of class struggle. The books in this series, his first to be published in the United States, are The Amulet of Samarkand, The Golem's Eye, Ptolemy's Gate, and prequel The Ring of Solomon.

In 2013, the first book in the Lockwood & Co series, Lockwood & Co.: The Screaming Staircase was released, and achieved critical acclaim. It was quickly followed by additional books in the series, The Whispering Skull, The Hollow Boy, The Creeping Shadow, and The Empty Grave, the series finale, was published in 2017. In late 2020, Netflix announced that Stroud's Lockwood & Co. series would be made into a television show, with filming beginning in July 2021 in London.

His new series, which currently consists of The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne and The Notorious Scarlett and Browne, is about two outlaws and their infamous heists. The third book in the series, The Legendary Scarlett and Browne, will be released March 25, 2025.
