Writing into a Structure
Structure can be tricky. Writers are advised to let inspiration guide them into a piece, but without a structure, writing can lead to a dead end.
Understanding structure is the first step to making it work for us. We’ll review some common types of writing structures and then investigate some unconventional forms, including trying our hand at a “hermit crab” piece in class.
