The Cabin’s free and open in-person writing workshop is held from 6:30 – 8:00 PM on the 1st Tuesday of each month. The workshop is hosted by guest writers who create unique prompts designed to inspire a supportive community of local writers.

Please note: We encourage drop-in workshop attendees to freely express themselves in their work, which sometimes results in content that’s not suitable for all ages. As such, this space is best suited for those 18 and over.

Registration is not required for our in-person drop-in workshops. However, if you would like a reminder email a day prior to the in-person drop-in workshop, please visit The Cabin's website to register. 

For November 2023-August 2024, the free drop-in writing workshop will take place in-person at the Downtown Boise Public Library on 1^st Tuesdays. Please note, the Cabin also hosts a free drop-in writing workshop ONLINE on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
