Poetry Out Loud VIDEO SUBMISSION

Calling all High School performers and/or poetry lovers! Come join the Boise Public Library for Poetry Out Loud, a poetry recitation competition that encourages 9th-12th grade students to learn about great poetry through memorization and performance.

This year BPL will host a local round of the competition and send one representative to the Idaho State Championship for a chance to win cash prizes and advance to the National Championship. Our local competition will be completely virtual, completely free, and open to all Treasure Valley students in grades 9-12!

If you'd like to participate, please register below so we know to expect your video submission.

Once you've registered, just record yourself reciting (from memory) one poem chosen from the Poetry Out Loud online anthology and send the video to epittinos@cityofboise.org by Sunday, Feb 7th at 11:59pm.
For more information on making your video, check out these requirements and helpful tips

Questions? Send a note at any time to Emily Pittinos at epittinos@cityofboise.org.
